Travelling in Mexico - Chichen Itza

How does Mexico Travel Plan work?

Mexico Travel Plan puts you in charge. You can build your own unique Mexico itinerary using a combination of our Mexico adventure tours (short travel programmes). We’ve travelled far and wide across Mexico and built our tours from our favourite experiences. Simply choose the mini adventures that appeal to you most and we'll  string the modules together by arranging your transport in the form of either your Mexico car hire or local bus. Explore ancient ruins, tropical national parks and wonderful sun kissed beaches. We've chosen as many small-scale hotels and guesthouses as possible, to give you a more authentic Mexican experience.

If you need a few ideas to get started, take a look at our Mexico itineraries. You're welcome to tweak these itineraries, with an extra day on the beach, or another night in the jungle. Once again, you're in charge.

How to book

There are 3 easy steps to booking your trip with Mexico Travel Plan:

1) When you have selected a sequence of modules or a suggested itinerary that you are interested in, please submit these details along with any other comments to us via the quote request form or call us.

2) We will then send you a detailed quotation called a Travel Plan (this can be amended by us of course).

3)
Once you have finalised and are completely happy with your Mexico Travel Plan and want to book, please submit your details via the booking form or call us.

Mayan Trail

Mexico, Belize & Guatamala by bus

The Mayan Trail is one of the most popular routes in Central America and it's easy to see why - no other trip can offer you such a great cocktail of culture, nature, sun and sand. On the Mayan Trail you'll discover Mayan ruins, historic colonial towns, jungle waterfalls and idyllic Caribbean beaches. In Guatemala and Belize you'll also be able to visit huge open-air markets and snorkel along coral reefs. Travelling by first-class (air-conditioned) scheduled bus, you'll have pre-booked, reserved seats. For an idea of the various routes, take a look at our Mexico itineraries.

Prices are quoted per person, based on 2 people sharing. High season surcharges may apply during Easter and Christmas periods, and also in July and August. You can extend any of our Mayan Route tours by a couple of extra days.

Yucatan Peninsula

Mexico self-drive tours

A trip through Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula by rental car is a great way to see the area if you plan it well in advance.

Generally, you would start your trip with an Easy Going Starter Pack in Playa del Carmen or Cancun. After that, you can pick and choose from our selection of Mexico self drive tours. Take a look at our Travelling in Mexico page for more further information on transport.

If you're a bit stuck for inspiration, then take a look at our Mexico itineraries.
